Message from the President

My Dear Friends:

As President of ISM-DFW, I am excited by the momentum and growth that continue to define our organization. We have experienced significant membership growth and continue to deliver outstanding programs and opportunities for our members throughout the year. With the dedication of an exceptional Board of Directors, we remain committed to building on our success and expanding the value we provide to the supply management community.

Our Board has worked tirelessly to develop meaningful programs that benefit members at every stage of their careers. We are especially focused on extending our reach to young professionals and students, helping to cultivate the next generation of leaders. Across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we continue to create opportunities for networking, professional development, and relationship building that strengthen both our profession and our community.

There is no better networking opportunity than our Annual Golf Tournament. This year marks a very special milestone as we celebrate the 30th Roy L. Anderson Memorial Annual Golf Tournament. Roy was an inspirational visionary in our profession, and dedicating this tournament in his memory is a small but meaningful tribute to the lasting impact he made on our industry and our organization.

Another cornerstone of ISM-DFW is Steve Ballenger, whose leadership and dedication have left an indelible mark on both ISM-Fort Worth and ISM-Dallas/Fort Worth. After 32 years of service, Steve is retiring this year. I have had the privilege of serving alongside Steve on the ISM-DFW Board of Directors, and he has been a guiding light throughout my tenure as President. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for his unwavering commitment, mentorship, and leadership.

I encourage everyone to join us at this year's tournament as we celebrate this historic milestone and recognize Steve for his many years of dedicated service. Both Roy Anderson and Steve Ballenger exemplify the caliber of leadership that has shaped ISM-DFW over the years. Their examples inspire us to invest in our young professionals and students, ensuring a bright future for our profession.

The future of ISM-DFW is bright, and our journey is just beginning. By working together, supporting one another, and continuing to lead with purpose, we will achieve great things.

Sincerely,

Dave Malenfant

AI-Native Cost Intelligence to Turn Procurement into a Profit Center

Procurement leaders are under pressure to do more than manage spend—they’re expected to drive measurable business value. This member-only webinar explores how AI-native cost intelligence is reshaping procurement into a strategic profit lever.

Join Gautam Pasari, Founder and CEO of True ValueHub, a 2025 ISM Supply Chain Trailblazer winner, for a focused discussion and case study on how organizations can move upstream in the cost lifecycle, increase transparency across global supply networks, and accelerate sourcing decisions without compromising rigor. You’ll gain practical insight into how AI is enabling faster, more informed collaboration across engineering, sourcing, and supplier ecosystems.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why early-stage cost intelligence matters
Understand how influencing the first 70–80% of cost during design can unlock greater savings and reduce downstream trade-offs.
  • How to build transparency and tariff resilience
See how breaking costs into clear drivers—materials, manufacturing, logistics, and carbon—creates a shared understanding with suppliers and strengthens your ability to model and respond to tariffs and trade shifts.
  • How AI is accelerating sourcing cycles
Explore how AI-enabled workflows can compress RFQ timelines from months to days, enabling real-time collaboration and more strategic decision-making.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify how early-stage cost intelligence influences 70–80% of total product cost and apply this insight to improve design-phase decision-making.
  • Evaluate cost drivers across materials, manufacturing, logistics, and carbon to improve transparency, strengthen supplier alignment, and model the impact of tariffs and trade changes.
